Lyne Constantineau, Education Advocate at the North Mason School District, is starting a student food bank for those students who do not live at home and do not have access to three meals a day while continuing their high school education. Below is a suggested list of items needed for these students. Purchases can be taken to the North Mason Middle School.. Thank you all for your help and generosity.
Baby Formulas (any kind)
Fruit/Fruit cocktail - cups and cans
Granolas Bars/Snacks
Powdered milk
Canned milk
Juices boxes
Packaged Cheeses/Peanut Butter and Crackers
Cookies/Snack cakes
Ready to serve meals - ie. mac & cheese etc - microwavable
Pasta Cans with flip-top lids
Soups Cans, Soup Bowls ready to eat - microwavable
Cereals Boxes/individual servings also
Peanut butter
Jams and Preserves
Canned veggies
Canned meats and fish (tuna, salmon, ham, Spam, etc…)
Any food items that would be easy to eat
Hand-operated can openers, plastic utensils, and plates (just in case!!!)
Anything a kid would eat with minimal efforts.
