LAKELAND VILLAGE LADIES GOLF CLUB

STANDING RULES

Revision July, 2009

1. Weekly competition will begin the first Tuesday in March and end the last Tuesday in October. Competition will be 18 holes, or at the discretion of tournament Chairman, 9 holes. Four divisions will be set with the fourth division for those with a handicap of 40 or more.

2. All play will be to established handicaps for individual tournaments except as noted in the membership book. Refer to Article IV, Section 1 of the By - Laws.

3. When a player has posted fewer than 20 scores, her USGA Handicap Index is based on a lower percentage of scores than the 50 percent ideally used (best 10 of 20). The accuracy and reliability of the Handicap system improves as the number of posted scores approaches 20. A player with 20 posted scores will have a handicap more representative of her potential ability than a player who has returned fewer scores.

4. The established annual dues will include designated amount for WSGA membership. The dues year is January 1, through December 31, of each year. Members failing to pay dues before January 31st will incur an additional late fee of $5.00.

5. Members are responsible for recording all 18 holes scores and turning in score cards. Anyone playing 13 holes must post their score. An adjusted score (par plus any handicap strokes that the player is entitled to receive on the unplayed holes) is used on those holes not played (Rule 5-2b, USGA Handicap System). This is not to be confused with an adjusted score for maximum strokes allowed on a hole. Players not reporting all scores may be in jeopardy of having their handicaps adjusted up or down by the Handicap Chairperson. Tournament scores will be posted with a "T".

6. Field Day is for all members and is a fun day with the club treasury partially paying for play, gifts/prizes, and lunch.

7. The member at-large will address concerns and suggestions of club members to the Executive Board.

8. Birdies or better will be posted on the bulletin board with a prize being awarded at the end of the season for the most birdies in the season and pins to the first birdie made by a member during regular Tuesday play or competition.

9 Local rules, as presented in the membership book, will apply.
